When a Dr. or Dentist refuses to allow the parent in the room it makes everyone feel uncomfortable. That's a good way to lose business. Sounds like this dentist doesn't like kids or is just not good with them and shouldn't take any children as new patients. I will try to find someone else to take my son. We just moved to the area and interested in finding a GOOD dentist. So far, my son loves to go to the dentist and after reading these reviews I will stay away from Daniel Klein too.

AMAZING dentist. The staff are extremely friendly and child oriented. My 5 year old actually looks forward to her dentist appointments. They talk to her on her level so she can understand. She takes what they say seriously about dental hygiene because they explain it to her in a way she can understand.
He is a great dentist, I've always been allowed in with my children. I have an autistic son who hates the dentist and they were able to make him comfortable. I really recommend him.
We've taken our children to Dr. Klein for the past 3 years for teeth cleaning and routine check-up's and had been very happy. The office looks like Disney Land and the assistants are very kind. Our 5 year old daughter recently had to get fillings and was showing uncharacteristic anxiety about the appointment. The office policy is that parents do not accompany children after the first visit but due to her fear I asked if I may sit in the room with her. Dr. Klein became angered by this request and told me that children need to look to their staff for comfort...the parents just make it worse. The request was not the issue, but his demeanor which was confrontational at best was disconcerting. I did end up leaving during the procedure and my daughter later told me he told her more than once to "stop crying like a baby." This is not what I had in mind when he said they would "comfort" my child.
