Went on recon. There is a beautiful building with restrooms and meeting rooms. There are ranges setup for archery and firearms. The website has posted their hours and days of operation. Very nicely done.

If you want an enjoyable shooting experience whether it be shotgun (both paper target and skeet), rifle, handgun or bow (3D targets provided along with elevated platform) this is the only place to consider.

The range officers are extremely knowledgeable, professional and safety conscious and run the range the right way.

The best run MDNR range/facility in Michigan hands down. The ranges are clean and facilities are top notch. Very large bench tops allow you to keep all your firearms, gear and ammo at arm's length. The swiveling seats are phenomenal. Very comfortable and user friendly design of the bench rest set up.

We are still on the search to actually find it, not sure if it is a place, or just a piece of land. We drove around looking for it. Thought it would be fun to take the kids for a walk. But we were a bit confused. We only really seen signs for public hunting area. But we wont give up!! We will keep searching.

It is impossible to learn how to use a pistol here for self defense. Only 6 rounds per magazine at any time limit, can only fire one shot per 6 seconds and can't carry a gun holstered. Very clean, well managed, suitable for long range plinking, if very slowly.

Great place to shoot during the week or weekend. Range officers are very knowledgeable.
